Tahoe’s Snowboarding Movement – A Snowfest! Exhibit at Watson Cabin

Celebrating Tahoe Snowfest! in a big way this year! The Gatekeeper’s Museum is presenting a special seven-day exhibit at the Watson Cabin exploring the origins of freestyle snowboarding in Lake Tahoe with an emphasis on Tahoe’s early pioneers who created the world’s first halfpipe in Tahoe City (YES! Tahoe City is home to the world’s first halfpipe!!!). Rare footage from Mike Chantry, images from Bud Fawcett, artifacts from the early days and the raddest collection of rare Avalanche snowboard’s courtesy of @avalanchesnowboardsarchive will be on display.
